Summary

The Sales Marketing Program Intern will help drive Yokohama sales initiatives by supporting the management of dealer incentive programs. This position is part of the Sales Operations team and supports Yokohama’s field sales teams.  This internship will offer insight into the automotive industry, with a focus on the marketing strategies and promotional efforts that drive sales programs.

 

The core responsibility of this position is to help manage a key Yokohama dealer incentive program.

The Sales Marketing Program Intern may be asked to coordinate certain aspects of a project, or be expected to help develop a comprehensive program, complete with processes, timelines, and communication elements.

This role is a 10 week internship program, onsite Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. 

Approximately 20 hours per week, not to exceed 25 hours per week. 

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Yokohama ADVANTAGE Associate Dealer Program including vendor collaboration, program communication, supporting growth initiatives and program administration.
  • Through active listening and research, this position will work with the Sr. Manager, Sales Programs and Sr. Specialist, Sales Programs to reach project goals, deliverables, milestones, and measurements of success.
  • Utilize excel skills to validate quarterly program results and provide standard reports for the sales team.
  • Engage with program vendors to ensure the timely completion of quarterly program reward processing
  • Help generate internal and customer communication regarding program initiatives and promotions. 
  • Track and maintain departmental expenses against established budgets (Cash reward funding and program vendor invoices). 
  • Manage reward redemption of point-of-sale materials and other program rewards. 
  • Support field sales with support associated with program requirements and ad-hoc requests.

Education and Experience

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma is required
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of marketing or business classwork or experience
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA). A transcript will be required if an offer is extended.
