The Sr. CAD Engineer I is responsible for creating complex drawings and 3D models with minimal to no assistance. The Sr. CAD Engineer I is also expected to check and correct the drawings of other Designers and work with Engineers as requested. Work with Development and Advanced Engineering groups to identify technical specifications and to participate in generating CAD models and drawings as necessary.

• Work with Engineers to generate all appropriate drawings according to established design standards.
• Make necessary design changes and revisions with direction from Engineers and Designers.
• Check drawings of other Designers and make corrections as necessary.
• Work with Tire Engineers to generate necessary inputs for various CAD based predictive tools.
• Program and automate basic drawing tasks to improve drawing efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide additional support for Development Engineers and perform other duties as needed.

• Good communication skills. Able to work well in a group and follow supervision.
• Strong technical competence.
• Proficient in the use of various 2D and 3D CAD Software programs such as AutoCAD, Inventor, and CREO.
• Understand manufacturing standards and use GD&T to communicate design intent for manufacturing.
• Create and manage 2D & 3D CAD Data using Parametric Modeling and Design.
• Manage and maintain CAD data within a Product Data Management system, ensuring proper version control, data integrity, workflow compliance, and alignment with engineering change processes.
• Manage goals and projects efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Understanding tire design standards and manufacturing methods is a plus.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office.

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years experience in CAD design 
• Creo experience preferred 

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time while working on a computer.
• Ability to repeat motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 20 pounds.
