The HR Manager is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The HR Manager serves as a consultant to management on human resources related issues. The successful HR Manager will act as an employee champion and change agent in the plant. The HR Manger assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with the HR department and business management.
· Provides consultation and training on engagement & retention of employees
· Consults with managers on internal movement decisions; transfers, promotions, job enhancements and ensures decisions are in line with company policy and leveling guides
· Oversees all employee relations investigations for all hourly employee. Consult with managers and counsel on outcomes and next steps
· Conduct all employee relations investigations for Supervisor level employees through Assistant Manager level employees. Consult with managers and counsel on outcomes and next steps
· Assist, as needed, with the employee relations investigations for Manager level and up employees.
· Communicates with employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, standards and government regulations
· Manages and tracks leave of absences and workers’ compensation claims
· Facilitates legal, sexual harassment and job performance training; Maintain all training records for company compliance
· Works with Talent Acquisition to create and/or recommend recruitment strategies and approaches offering both traditional and creative solutions
· Leading the HR Team while fostering a welcoming and team focused atmosphere
· Assists in reviewing company job descriptions to ensure FLSA compliance
· Assists with new hire orientation and conducts all exit interviews
· Assists with employee recognition and engagement programs
· Enters and maintains accuracy of employee data for site
· Ability to build relationships across all organizational levels and functions
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS
· Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and leadership skills
· Strong team player who can maintain high levels of confidentiality
· Knowledge of and experience with HR information systems (ADP preferred)
· Bachelors’ degree required
· Minimum of 7years’ HR experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
· HR Certification (PHR, SPHR) preferred
