Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of conveyor systems, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition. This role includes managing spare parts inventory, developing, and implementing a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, and being the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving conveyor-related issues.

Responsibilities

Preventative Maintenance:

  • Create and own a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan for all conveyor systems.
  • Schedule and conduct regular maintenance to ensure continuous operation and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on equipment.

Spare Parts Management:

  • Manage and maintain an inventory of spare parts for conveyor systems, ensuring critical components are always in stock.
  • Order and restock spare parts as needed, balancing cost-efficiency with operational readiness.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to source parts and manage lead times effectively.

Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

  • Conduct inspections, diagnose issues, and perform repairs on conveyor systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and control system troubleshooting.
  • Ensure that all conveyor systems are aligned with safety standards and operational guidelines.

Collaboration & Support:

  • Work closely with the operations team to understand and address any conveyor-related challenges.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to share knowledge and support overall equipment maintenance.
  • Train staff on the proper use and basic troubleshooting of conveyor systems.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance and repair work.
  • Ensure equipment is functioning in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks on conveyor equipment.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in conveyor system maintenance and repair.
  • Proficiency in reading technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
