Summary

This position provides technical assistance and support to various divisions on any specification, material, or procedural issues to ensure the product produced meets technical and quality standards. Performs job safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical assistance to various divisions as needed. • Analyzes defective tires and non-uniform tires then trouble-shoots to minimize scrap and repair • Tracks uniformity values of tires to determine worse sizes or offenders and implements improvement activities • Schedule and/or perform various trials to determine cause and/or countermeasures • Monitors and audits various divisions periodically to assure adherence to procedures • Records and prepares reports of all defects such as scrap and repairs for upper management • Issues temporary specifications and maintains proper documentation until permanent changes can be completed • Provides support in the tire room with pre-production tires

Knowledge and Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) • Ability to independently execute detailed work plans • Analytical thought process • Effective written/oral communication

Education and Experience

• Associates Degree or equivalent manufacturing experience • 3-5 years’ industrial / manufacturing experiences

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk on hard surfaces for long period of time, up to 4 hours at a time. • Stand/remain upright and stationary, walk, kneel, bend, turn, stoop and squat repetitively • Stand/remain upright and remain stationary for long periods of time, up to 4 hours at a time • Reach forward and overhead repetitively • Wear personal protective equipment such as (lab coat, gloves, face mask, etc.), when necessary • Lift up to 50lb weight • Lift a 100-120 lbs. tire to the upright position.
